A multipurpose product, uku exfoliating clay mask can be used as a scrub or mask. NZ kaolin clay and green clay help detoxify your skin, while mānuka leaf works as a powerful yet gentle exfoliator, antiseptic and anti inflammatory. Marshmallow root helps to soothe redness and skin irritations.
Directions: Add one teaspoon to your cleanser to create a scrub. For a mask, add 1-2 teaspoons with water, honey or hydrosol until you get your desired consistency. Apply in a circular motion (to get the exfoliating benefits) to your face or body, leave until dry then gently wash off. Use up to 1-2 times a week. Do not use metal spoons or dishes as it will deactivate the clay.

Here is a bit of a whakawhanaungatanga, to introduce myself. I’m the wahine behind Hau Botanicals. Hau Botanicals is all the things I love in life, coming together. I have always been a nature nerd, which led me to do a BSc in Zoology and Ecology and MSc in Freshwater Ecology. My passion is our environment here in Aotearoa, and supporting iwi/ hapū engage in environmental governance, management and monitoring. This mahi has connected me to the most amazing people and places, and helped me along my rongoā journey.
I am fascinated by natural health and healing, which runs in both my whānau from Tauranga and Whakatāne. Energetic healing, herbal remedies and rongoā have always been my go-to, and helped me through various health issues over the years. But for me, the most healing thing is to get out for a bush walk or go surfing. That is my longterm health investment plan. While recovering from surgery, I decided to take the plunge and share my passion and products with others. And this is how Hau Botanicals was born.
