Rokete is a chilli oil originally made by Debbie Low for her family. Every year she would give Rokete as a Christmas present and every family member would get a jar for their fridge. Debbie described Rokete as a condiment, perfect to accompany any meal or give a kick to any sauce, a love letter to your curry. Tasty not burny. Start with a small drizzle and work your way up. Debbie's Daughter Cassie Low continues to make Rokete to honour the memory of her mum and her family's love for hot food.Rokete is made with all natural ingredients and is preservative free. Once opened keep your jar in the fridge and topped up with canola oil. Keep jar upright.
Cassie is a fat, queer, indigenous maker of Samoan (Fasito'otai, Solosolo ma Toamua), Cook Islands (Tongareva, Manihiki, Rakahanga), Hawaiian (Hawaiʻi Nui, Maui, O'ahu), Fijian (Tavua) and Pākehā decent. Cassie creates things that are beautiful, practical and delicious drawing on recipes and knowledge passed down to her from loved ones.
