Siva Mai is a playful exploration of the female body and the expression of freedom through colour, form and patterns. The painting means 'Let's Dance'. This painting was originally part of the exhibition 'here together' at Fresh Gallery, Otara, Tāmaki Makaurau.

About the artist:

Pusi Urale is a Samoan artist based in Avondale, Tamaki Makaurau. At 84 years old, Urale is well known for her bold and vibrant paintings based on her memories of Samoan village life.
