Mata ki te Mata (2024) by Margaret Aull
Mata ki te Mata acknowledges tinorangatiratanga and recognises the importance in taking time to understand and discuss how Pacific communities living in Aotearoa can support Māori.
Mata means 'face' in Māori and Fijian. It is scorched as a metaphor to the idea that no matter how much the government may try and burn the pages of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, it will always be there.
