Reset by Helen Satele

The word “Reset” means to return something to its original state or to start over. For someone raised in a culture different from their ethnic or ancestral roots — who may not speak their native language, know traditional customs, or feel fully connected to their cultural identity — a reset isn't about going backwards. Instead, it's about starting
from where you are with awareness and intention. The island pattern is layered with an underlay of muddy colours. On top is a better version of the original pattern
underneath with bright bold clean colours. It speaks of becoming a better version of ourselves. That change is constant and learning to adapt as we move forward through the years from childhood, youth, young adults to seniors and finally retirement.
It’s about building on what you do know, continuing to learn, and learning to walk confidently in both worlds — your Pacific culture and the Western culture. It’s knowing who you are, whether you speak your cultural language or fully understand your traditions.
